Vintage true, authentic, hand made rustic comal made in Mexico. Although there are no markings, that is because this was purchased at a roadside shop in Mexico during one our parents' various trips. This thin comal had been used when camping but most of all, when home making tortillas, browning spices, "sweating" vegetables (bell peppers, onions, etc.), meats. My mom told me that it sat on a v-shaped large concave holder when she watched the man making them. There is some rust but not deep and there are little areas of pitting on the bottom; this will be left as it so someone can season it. As you can see, the handle must have been attached in the making of it. There is a small (1/4") indentation in the very middle on the top (see pic 1) which comes out on the bottom (see pic 2). This never bothered my mom as her cast iron stove burners had openings.
Measurements: 9 3/4" circumference; 16 3/4" long (includes handle), 1/4" thick
